I have personally struggled with Anxiety and Depression throughout my life. Both of those things were extremely difficult to overcome after the birth of my son. I was consumed with anxious thoughts and doubted my ability to be a successful mother. After seeking professional help, I was put on a medication that helped to alleviate most of my symptoms. Anyone that struggles with Anxiety and Depression knows that the medication most of the time doesn't make it completely go away, it just helps make it less overwhelming. I searched for something that would complement traditional medicine and give me more relief on top of the medication I was taking.
I discovered Reiki (learn more here!) first and found that my overall anxiety was exponentially decreased after a session. I learned how to perform Reiki on myself and took classes to become a Reiki Master/Teacher so I could help others learn. The next path I went down was becoming a Certified Life Coach. I initially took classes so I could learn how to coach myself. I felt stuck, as I frequently do, and wanted to stop my pattern of giving up when things were difficult. I realized that what I learned could also help others when I had to take on a few clients for certification. The current path that I am on is to become a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. I have taken classes on Herbalism, Subtle Aromatherapy, and am currently enrolled in my last two classes that are Diet and Wellness, and Clinical Kinesiology. After these classes are completed, I will be able to apply and complete that goal.
In August 2021, I was also diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS. This is a metabolic disorder that affects the hormones in my body. Those with PCOS typically suffer from reproductive issues, chronic fatigue, weight gain, and mental health issues. When I received this diagnoses I was at first worried, but felt empowered with the knowledge that I had gained over the previous year to help myself alongside traditional treatment. What I have learned from searching for tools to help myself is that I love to help others. I always feel my best when I am able to help others feel better and to reach their goals.
I graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in May of 2020 and honestly was never sure what I wanted to do with my degree. I knew that I wanted to use my degree to help others, but I didn’t know how I could possibly do that with a business degree and I honestly thought it was a waste of time. When anyone asked me if I wanted to start a business I would adamantly say “No way!” Here I am, starting a business. I started this business with the goal of helping others who were struggling like me. I hope that you will consider working with me to reach any of your personal, mental, or spiritual health goals!
